Strider's Sword - Lord of the Rings
By United Cutlery
When I saw Fellowship of the Ring, I was angry at this sword. This is because, being pedantic, I griped that this sword did not exist in the books. Strider carried the shards of Narsil with him, occasionally whipping out and brandishing the hilt and broken stub of the blade. As such, I was determined that, even were I to collect all the swords from Lord of the Rings, I would pass over this one.
As it happens, a friend gifted this to me and, seeing it in person, with that fantastic sheath and complimentary (and totally sharpened!) dagger, I could no longer hate this sword. It is sleek and elegant, but also very simple, as befits a Dúnedane Ranger. It features no runes or glyphs, no gems or scrollwork. It is a simple and industrious sword that still manages a quiet beauty.
I don't know what kind of leather is on the sheath, but it is beautiful. This is overall a really great piece and I am very happy to have it.
It seems UC no longer sells this sword at all, but you can always keep checking their site in case it makes a comeback.
