Human/Dalek Tommy Gun - Doctor Who
By Keith Collins
This one is actually no longer in my collection, having been sold to a buddy of mine. I still include it here so that I can brag about the means through which I acquired it.
I am not a big fan of gun props, in general. I have a few that I find incredibly appealing, but for the most part, gun props are not all that interesting to me. Especially if the replica doesn't give the indication of being a gun via some moving parts or sounds or... well, something.

For those reasons, this prop never really interested me. The replica is a pretty good likeness and is made from CNCd MDF. Like the prop, there isn't even a trigger in the trigger guard, let alone any moving parts or sounds. Further, it is a prop from one of my very least favorite Doctor Who stories, Daleks in Manhattan / Evolution of the Daleks. So, needless to say, I would not have ever purchased (or made) this prop for myself.
The only reason I ever owned the thing was that I won it in a contest. One of the most fun things ever to happen on the RPF, Keith Collins (aka Rassilon) decided to host a Sonic Screwdriver design competition. It would be judged by a panel of three, including Nick Robatto, the maker of the Sonic Screwdriver for the show and prized would be provided to the top 3 by Collins.
Third place was some sort of poster... TARDIS blueprints or something like that. The Grand Prize was Collins actually making a replica of your winning design (Side note: he was not up to the task and, after two years of working on it, sent a "75% complete" replica to the winner).
The runner-up prize was this Human/Dalek Tommy Gun. I was the runner up (you figured that out, right?). It was a surprise to many, because I was part of the CulT, the group of Celestial Toymaker supporters who weren't mindless RPF sycophants that had become somewhat persona non-grata in the RPF Doctor Who threads. It was also the only entry to place that wasn't a 3D render:

The judges awarded me 2nd place, so I had the honor of winning a replica of a prop replica that I had literally zero interest in. But I was proud to have won anything and, for quite a while, displayed the prop proudly. To be clear: it's a perfectly fine replica of a perfectly fine prop. It's just not my thing. So I sold it to someone who is, hopefully, enjoying it more than I did.
Anyway, here's some pictures:
