Two-Face Coin - The Dark Knight
By "Markpoon"
I have wanted a Two-Face coin ever since I read Batman Annual #14 in 1990. It was pretty much my introduction to Two-Face, and he has been one of my favorite Batman villains ever since.
So when I saw this guy being offered on the RPF by a user named "Markpoon," I was thrilled and bought it immediately. And, for a time, I loved it. But I have grown increasingly discontent with it. It doesn't really look like a real coin. It doesn't feel like a real coin. And, when you flip it, it certainly doesn't sound like a real coin.
That is why, as I type this, there is a real 1922 Liberty Head Peace Dollar in my workshop covered in silicone. I'm doing a two-part mold so that I can make it into a 2-headed coin. I'll cast it in resin, mess up one head on the resin with (probably) a soldiering iron, mould it again and cast it in pewter... with plans for real silver when I get some better smelting equipment.
This thing is a disappointment and I can't wait to replace it with my own work.
